SVT-40 Snatched up in 8 mins - Gunboards

Someone got a good deal. I swear that some people sit on classified boards all day and night refreshing the screen.

Oh, you too ?
I have a DWM, but at that price I would have bought another one right away, regardless of manufacture.
Got the long rifle, too[grin]

Thats mine on the bottom of the three.

Close up shot of the receiver. The top is scrubbed as usual.

The bore was nasty but after some scrubbing and watching rust poor out of it, 20 or so rounds later at the range and it looks great now.[smile] I don't know muc about the variations or manufacturers, but do know hey are getting hard to find around here.

Yours is a model 1891, made by Ludwig Loewe, Berlin.
Loewe is the predecessor of DWM "Deutsch Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken".
My 2 Argentinos are 1909 models, both of DWM manufacture.
The 1909 is the designation for the Argentine contract rifles, and they are
a variant of the German Gewehr 98 (the Argentinos have a flip mag floor plate which allows to unload without repeating the action).
Smoothest actions ever built, IMHO.
