Something missing on my SKS?

I found a site which helped me ascertain the year my M59/66 was manufactured.

According to this mine was produced in 1983.

There are more pictures at the bottom of that page I posted. While I can clearly see phosphur rear night sights on my rifle (which are very weak) I cannot see a phosphur front sight. It appears mine is just your run of the mill front sight, unless of course it is missing something.

First off, do you think I'm missing something on my front sights?

Have any of you ever installed aftermarket night sights on an SKS?

If so, were you satisfied with the results?
 
59/66 rifles with night sights have a flip up post for the front and flip up that covers the rear as well. You can see the rear ones in this picture I took of mine.

Not all the 59/66 models have them.
