I got my AO back from the factory a few days ago and it is now having FTF problems. I figured I'd give it a good cleaning and a lube before I throw it in a pond

Just got done cleaning it and couldn't resist the sexy, so I snapped some pics.

I really really want a 1911 but simply can't buy another gun right now until I save up some cash. I have my heart set on a Kimber Pro Raptor II after handling one recently. That means I need to scrape up over $1K plus ammo costs....not going to be easy. Shooting for next fall, but if i get motivated, I could just whip up a few knives and pay for it.

I have relatively small hands myself, and I find the single stack 1911 pattern guns fit my hands better than most any double-stack auto I've owned or tried out.

I traded away a nice SW1911 (I know they are knocked by many JMB purist-types for the external extractor, series-80 style safety, etc) that I miss a lot. I can't wait to pick up another some day. I'll be watching the NES group buy thread closely....hopefully something will come of that.
