Sight Length Info.

Does anyone know if there is a formular for figuring out the sight length for revolvers, based on barrel lenght? I've checked the manufacturer's web sites and sight length is only published for semi-autos. I also tried some web surfing but...Alas, no luck.

S&W 686, 4 inch or 620?

let me go get the tape...

6 inches on the 686...i would guess the sight radius to be very similar to the 620 since the cyclinder and barrel both stay the same size.

Thanks, so possibly barrel length + 1.5 inches for cylinder + .5 inches or so?
