Savage Vs Remington

Hi guys,

Looking in to purchasing a long rifle and I was wondering pros, cons. etc. In either 308 or 30-6

My out of the box Savage 12FVSS and 10FCP in 308 both shoot bug holes off the bench at 200yds with 178gr Amax handloads, avg group about .550 for both rifles. My Cheapy Walmart Savage 30-06 easily keeps 1.5" at 200 with Federal hunting rounds.

I really like the accu trigger.

Might be more aftermarkets for Remington. I haven't needed to upgrade the Savages

Also, I have never waited more then a few min to talk to someone at Savage, I have never gotten through the call tree at Remington.

Savages get the edge out of the box because you won't need to waste money making the trigger non-awful. The accu-trigger is user adjustable.

Worry more about the glass you are gonna put on it than the rifle.
