REMINGTON MODEL 700, .338 Win Mag VALUE????

I recently inherited this Remington Model 700 Rifle chambered in 338 Win Mag. The rifle is almost flawless, does anyone know the value of it, if I was going to trade or sell it???

Take a look on Gunbroker. A good source to see what people are asking. Then you need to see what the last few ACTUALLY SOLD for. Give tou a good base. I just looked and they have a few listed as we speak. Good luck!

Is it because it is a large caliber you do not want to keep it, you could always rebarrel it.

The vintage burris made in USA scopes can run about 150-200$ depending on model and current market.
Few years ago there was a club member buying up USA and Japan made scopes and paying pretty decent cash. Well thought anyway.

Book value does not always hold true. Here's what my book says for 700 BDL 338

rading 100% 98% 95% 90% 80% 70% 60%
MSR $994 $835 $745 $675 $615 $515 $425 $350

Trade in value.... kittery will not give you more than 70% book value then it drops from there.
The hardest part is finding someone who wants 338.

I would try looking at past GB sales but it keeps rejecting my password if I don't sign in for a week or so.

Not a lot of comparables on GunBroker...
A barreled action went for $460, a crotch walnut wood stocked unit went for $685 with very little claimed use, plastic stocked new unit went for $565, and a plastic stocked used unit with scope rings went for $600.
