Reloaded and tested some different loads with 300gr IMI JHP bullets. I don't have a chrono yet, so just looked for signs of overpressure and stable functioning of my DE in 50AE.
Bullet: IMI JHP 300gr
Case: mixed IMI and Starline
Primer: CCI 350 large pistol magnum
OAL: 1.575
Crimp: 0.525
Powder: H-110 31.6gr, 31.9gr, 32.2gr, 32.5gr
All above loads worked fine, no sign of overpressure.
The lowest load of 31.6 gr gave stable cycling, slide locked on the empty magazine.
Tried another batch with the same parameters and different powder.
Powder: AA#9, 23.4gr.
The results age good too, no overpressure signs, reliable cycling.
Both powders gave significant muzzle flash, although H-110 had a bigger flash some what darker orange color. AA#9 gave smaller but brighter muzzle flash light orange color.
