quick question

is it ok to leave a unloaded long gun in the trunk of an unoccupied vehicle? I cannot find anything prohibiting this...

IANAL but I believe this is ok aslong as it's stored in a locked container or has a trigger lock of some kind.

It may also hinge on where the vehicle is. If you are out-of-state with the shotgun laying around in the trunk, then that could be a problem in certain states.

It certainly can't hurt to keep it in a locked container in the trunk (may not be good enough though).
