Purchasing a Black Rifle

I am interested in picking up a Sig 556. I have looked over the Assault weapon laws and am still a little confused. What is your take on the law. Would this rifle be allowed in Connecticut given the current Laps of Federal laws.

I believe the SCM model (no flash suppressor or fixed stock) is CT legal. It is in MA anyway....
