Range trip today, and shot my EDC Glock 19. While reloading g the mags, on a lark I decided to inspect them. Guess I have a range mag now, don’t think I trust it any more for EDC.

Relpace it wth a new one. You're not adding to what's in circulation but simply replacing what was grandfathered in. Sounds good to me. Hang on to the broken one for proof.

I have 40 year old AR mags that are fine, I've replaced the followers and springs.

I had two unused Glock mags, still in the sales containers, that I bought in 1992 crack as well. They never saw the light of day and still cracked.

Pfft. Most of my mags may not be draft-eligible anymore. Some of them are nearing SS age. Rifle mags, anyhow. Maybe a couple of pistol mags.

I have had 3 preban AR mags that had similar cracks. Each was part of seperate purchases of multiple used mags but all had a crack starting from bottom of feed lip at the back of the mag. went more sideways than down though. discarded them.
