Long time no shoot for this one. This is a .30-06 Norwegian conversion of a surrendered bcd41 (Gustloffwerke). The U.S. cut a deal with Norway after WW2 to rearm Norway with surrendered German arms. Some 250,000 German troops garrisoned Norway during WW2; Hitler was convinced Germany would be attacked from the North. Norway would rearsenal the weapons from 8mm to .30-06, and we would supply all their ammo. So this rifle has a new Kongsberg barrel, front sight, mismatched rear sight, and reserialed. The receiver had to be notched for the 4mm longer .30-06. 100 yards, 75F, wild mix of HXP; '69, 73, 74, 76, 78, 82, and 1 Iranian I think.

By "long time", I mean I traded this to my friend in '16, and traded back for it in '17. First time I've shot it since. Turned out the recoil lug had set back into the stock, which my friend fixed. Shoots a lot better than when I first had it.

Great- cool rifle and interesting history.

I’m going to practice with the K31 on the Oct 14 if it does well I will post one target

I can add this up and divide by 4 for 40 rounds?

For whatever reason the Norwegian navy kept the Mausers in 8mm. They bring a premium over the.30-06 as they are still matched.
