Police yesterday said they made two arrests in separate incidents over the weekend. Officers responding to reports of gunfire arrested Anthony Inzoda, 18, of Brighton, early Saturday. Inzoda said he was chased from a party on the first floor of a house to his third-floor apartment by three people who were trying to kill him, police said. Once in his apartment, Inzoda said he locked the door and grabbed a shotgun to defend himself, police said. He said the gun accidentally discharged while he was grabbing it, police said. Inzoda was charged with unlawful possession of a sawed-off shotgun, unlawful possession of ammunition, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, and unlawfully carrying a loaded firearm. Police also arrested Josh Brown, 21, of Boston, and charged him with willful and malicious destruction of property after he allegedly threw an ice block through the windshield of a taxicab at Surface Road and Broad Street.

I'm predicting the guy with the ND/illegal shotgun will get probation and the guy with the ice block will do time in this Foxtrot Uniform state.

At 18 you can almost guarantee that nothing will happen to him. I HATE hearing of news shows where they say the "youth" or "teen", like at 18 you don't know right from wrong. He will get MAYBE probation and be asked to go to counseling. Stupid system in MA.

BTW, if the ice block was black or had a grip you can grab with one hand it does classify as an "assault snowball" and the perp will get a mandatory sentence. Menino will also have a press conference about why more "gun laws" are needed to keep the city safe.
