Anyone here buy and/or shoot a PSA AR9? I know there are much better products out there for AR9's nowadays like CMMG or RRA, or even building one from a Hahn mag block.

PSA is running a deal right now for the complete AR9 kit without a lower and mags for $399. To be honest for that price I'm leaning towards grabbing one. It would just be a range toy, so I wouldn't want to spend much on an AR9 and $400 seems like a good deal.

Curious what the quality of these are? Very few reviews out on the web from my quick searches. Would love to hear some comments from anyone that's had the chance to handle one of these rifles. Thanks in advance.

Why not build your own?

very temping. Cmmg and RRA are super high.

Yep. Because they simply can get it for those prices too. And I thought CMMG had some QC issues with their firing pins? I could be wrong. 9mm ARs are cool but I'd rather have a 5.45x39 or 7.62x39 upper before a 9mm.

The beauty of a 9mm AR is you get to practice with a "real" caliber that recoils as much as a .223, but can be reloaded for a little more than half the cost of .223 and takes about a third as much time to reload as .223.

Notably, the muzzle device on that kit is a flash hider (ie no-no in mass). had that pointed out to me when i went into northeast arms on saturday to get it pinned.
There are other options out there, but this is the cheapest approved muzzle device i've found, short of just getting a thread protector pinned on - http://www.midwayusa.com/product/37...5m1-1-2-36-thread-ar-15-68mm-steel-parkerized

Hi fellas I got a question to ask the beehive.
I got a dedicated 9mm lower CMMG with a standard AR hammer. The bolt carrier group on the PSA website that comes with the slick style upper won't work right? Because it's non ramped. Right??,

well, i got proven wrong rather quickly. Wish i'd seen that yhm slant before i ordered mine, i like the look of it alot better. RTG usually has the uzi mags in stock, both 25rd and 32rd
