By the way this thread should be in the gun gallery section.
You like patina huh?Looks like a real tool. Don’t get me wrong I love all the nickel and wood grips. But I can appreciate something that’s been used and carried...im a collector but a “user” aswell
I think the 454 has more recoil than the sw 500I know. I just sold my Alaskan 454 last week.
Aaaaand the ubiquitous TOES in the PHO-TOS.You like patina huh?
Check out the Colt model 1860. All original, matching, military proofs/ cartouche, and I’ve put about 30 rounds through it. Made in 1861.
Not a snubby but a prized item in my collection.

Some day I’ll pay the money and get the letter from Colt.
It's pretty nasty. I had 2 Freedom Arms, 454's. Both had 4 3/4" barrels and one was magna ported. Neither of the Freedom Arms revolvers recoiled like that Ruger Alaskan.I think the 454 has more recoil than the sw 500
Oh dang. Busted. I even quickly glanced while I was snapping that pic to make sure no toes were in it but they were obscured by the 1970’s shag rug in my gun room. Good eye.Aaaaand the ubiquitous TOES in the PHO-TOS.
