Very true, including the town I live in. Most know giving references is a joke. No one is going to give a reference that will badmouth them. Aside from that NH is shall issue, so it really doesn't matter what the references say. If your criminal/mental history comes back clean they must issue the permit.

On the other hand, they could still be there and I didn't notice. I tend to be oblivious to most stuff.
No, you were absolutely correct. I had to stop in today for something else entirely and their sign does indeed state 10-14 business days.
They have a another sign telling people to include reference phone numbers.
