St. Louis Metropolitan Police said Shaquille Kirkendoll, 17, of the 4900 block of Maffitt Avenue in St. Louis was shot while allegedly trying to steal a car early Friday morning.
The shooting and attempted car theft happened around 1:30 a..m. Friday in the 5400 block of Delmar Boulevard, according to investigators.
Police said a 31-year-old man said he heard a noise and looked out his home window to see Kirkendoll getting into his 2004 Dodge Truck.
The man said he went to the parking lot and confronted Kirkendoll and that's when Kirkendoll got out of the man's truck and pointed a gun at the man.
