Hi All & Happy New Year!
Below is Massachusetts Rifle Association Action Shooting Schedule for Jan.-March 2007. There is something for everyone, and all skill levels from beginner and beyond!
If you are bored shooting paper come out and give an action shooting match a try.

◘ Centerfire Firearms Only Unless specified for particular matches
◘ No Complete Metal Jacket (Ball) Ammo Allowed at any event (rifle matches excluded)
◘ $5.00 Entry Fee- 75% Payback- Top 3 positions paid in each class
◘ 2 Classes- Stock -Iron sights, no Comps Open-Optics, Comps
◘ Steel Matches- NO MAGNUM CALIBERS- Recommend Light Target Ammo, Minimum 100 rounds
◘ Outside Matches will be on the McLaughlin Range- RAIN or SHINE

We don't shoot steel with rifles at the club. Plus, rifle rounds travel at a much higher velocity and break apart, or travel through the intended target into the berm.
Pistol rounds, especially ball ammo, travel much slower. When impacting a steel plate, these rounds likely will not break apart and can bounce back with sufficient energy to cause injury to the shooter and/or spectators.
