Just a basic Question I might throw this on a C&R forum.

A was firing a really nice CZ 52 with very old Tokarev ammo, and the original firing pin. I was getting misfires about every 5 or so rounds. I waited a while and ejected these rounds. These misfires appear to have the same indentation of a fired shell. So I figured out that they were bad, but I loaded them and fired them flawlessly.

So when I get a misfire now, I just cock the hammer and pull the trigger again. So my question is, is it really bad ammo? Could the original firing pin cause this?

The best way to figure this out would be to use new ammo.

I had the same problem using Remington Thunder bolts. When I changed brands I never had a problem.

Most of the surplus 7.62x25 ammo is crap. Lots of click and no boom when you're dealing with it. Try Wolf Gold or any other new production ammo. Wolf Gold shoots great in my CZ and unlike the surplus stuff its non corrosive.
