Legally, she's correct.

That said, there are plenty of other restaurants who'd appreciate your business in the greater Portland area.

That would be a horrible thing to do. Business owners should be able to deny service to anyone they want without fear of government intervention. What you described would be morally worse than what the restaurant did.

Her restaurant, her rules. We're welcome to go eat anywhere else, and we should. But she's got rights, too.

It's all symbolic, anyway. Like she'd know if you support AK ownership...

Equal access to public accommodations The opportunity for every individual to have equal access to places of public accommodation without discrimination because of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, religion, ancestry or national origin is recognized as and declared to be a civil right.
