Found a new source (to me) for XM193 5.56 Ball [grin]
IMI-Ammo.com
Ordered 600 rounds @ 60 cents each UPS ground. Shipping included in per round calculation.

My club DRRC doesn't allow any steel tipped ammo, test with a magnet.
XM855 (green tip) is steel tipped under the copper gilding.

.60 a round??? What the hell? I haven't paid that much since last December.

It can be had almost anywhere now for .35-.40 a round. You way overpaid.

I bought some 62 grain 5.56 last week for .40 a round.

also dont trust the Magnet test. It will also stick to the tip of a Tula steel case but the Tula has a Lead core not steel..
I bought 500rds of Herters/Tula 223 for 144.00 at cabelas. shot 120rds last week and had 0 issues with it.

That's a great price at .60c a round.

I've never paid over $0.30/rd. When it went over $300 I started reloading. Even now I can buy stuff to reload 1k M855 or M193 at ~$250/1k.

Anything over $0.40/rd is highway robbery.

I was at cabelas the other day and they had 193 20pks for 9.99 and PMC .223 for 8.99. Unless you are filling multiple carts then they had more than what you are looking for. At .60rd that sucks and even the cabelas prices sucked. Thankfully they had 91/30s for $130 which made it worth it.

$0.40/rd is a decent price for quality brass ammo if you haven't started reloading yet. That the cheapest I've seen anything but steel cased.

Tula is steel cased, which some people don't like. I've got no issue with it if you're using it within 100yards or so. It's not the most accurate ammo out there (2-3 MOA), but it is cheap!
