MAGPUL stock question

In a MAGPUL stock equipped with the holes for QD Sling mounts "with cups"

instead of using the screws to install the QD cups; can (2) cups be used, (1) each side held in place with epoxy?

The reason I want to do this if it will work okay; is because the rifle will be shot by a a right hand shooter and a left hand shooter.

So I would prefer that the QD sling mounts be completely ambidextrous; moveable to either side (depending on who is shooting).

Any experience with doing this or input is appreciated.



Admittedly I am somewhat of a novice with long guns (other than 10/22's); For over 30 years I have been heavily into handguns.

One option if this is the one you have use one side with the cup and do this to the right side

You would get a type 1 and then a type 2. The type 2 has a threaded hole that your can screw the type one up against. That makes the QD useable on either side of the gun.

I've used the Mutntgear QD adapter on my BCM Bravo stock. They have two versions.

oh man I’ve had issues with these ‘cups’ for years, sometimes I order the correct one, sometimes not….I now understand where I was going wrong, thanks all!! Some stocks are setup the way I want, others not….ugh. Going on another parts ordering spree!
