M193 Bullet Spec Question

Is the bullet diameter on a mil-spec M193 bullet .224? I tried searching for this info and
all I come up with is completed ammo, not the bullet alone.

Just a guess on my part but I think jacketed bullets are always larger that bore otherwise they won't seal bore and will not fly consistently. I was looking into the offer you made and they are .224 as well. I may load some 55gn. to see how they shoot and will let you know.

Bore and groove diameter of .22 center fire rifles is .218 bore, and .224 groove.

.224 diameter bullets are correct.
