If he truly has had death threats, he is going to need to have people watch his 6. He should not be challenging anyone who is truly against him, not since he as received over 3,000 letters of hate mail. What a tool !
I think that as well. Nobody ever asks for proof of these death threats, and I don't imagine that they're difficult to fabricate.
Oh, so in other words, his rotation is over, and he wanted a little free press by calling it "coming back home to fight the NRA."

Seems to be getting very one-sided news. Maybe he does not know homicides and crime perpetrated using firearms are at a 20-year low. Those who sent him threats are as bad as he is in challenging them.

No, the older guy is a different Col. Bateman. Sad for the older gentleman, but he shares the same name with the douche canoe.
Get over the idea that service members are conservative e and pro-2A. Plenty are not, and many are field grade officers and above. A lot of them got there by being ass sucking politicians too. They are like anti-gun cops.
As one mall ninja reminded me in another thread, that being in the military doesn't give anyone any special insight. That's true conditionally, anyway depending on the topic.
I suspect too, that the JAG doesn't want to touch him because he supports the Commander in Chiefs position. If it was an officer who articulated the opposite position they would probably go after him.
Don't forget too, that the top generals and admirals got there often times because they knew how to suck the right people. Don't think for a minute that there aren't a lot of general and flag officers who support Obama. The administration wants yes men around them and that includes people in uniform too.
