These owners manuals are not what I am looking for. The ones that I want
have the illustrated parts list with the picture of the gun. The current
owner's manuals are a lot of fluff and not much else. At least the one you
download is.

I have one dated 1973 for a model 15. What part of it are you looking for? I have them for many models and also a S&W Armorer's book with parts diagrams.

The easiest thing to do in all these cases is to call Smith & Wesson.
