Laser sights legal in Mass?

Was just flipping through my most recent copy of American Rifleman (March 2007) when I came across this.
On page 20 in the "Readers Write" section the first writer is commenting on an article pertaining to CT lasergrips and states the following:
3rd Paragraph about halfway down- "At least one state (Massachusetts, not surprisingly) has outlawed lasers"

Does anyone know this to be true and if so when did it happen?
Sorry if I sound clueless here but lets face it what I don't know could fill a warehouse. Any help you folks could give especially you lawyer types would be greatly appreciated.
