An alleged break-in left one man dead in Rineyville, just north of Elizabethtown.

Detectives said an ongoing feud between neighbors led to Tuesday night's shooting.

Loretta Hawkins lives with her 21-year-old son, her 3-year-old and 2-year-old twins.

Police said she felt the need to protect her family around 7 p.m. Tuesday when 18-year-old Kevin Scott Puckett came to her residence.....
