The liberator was intended to be used to secure or "liberate" a more functional firearm - properly used only one round is required.

Kidding. I printed one a few years ago, um, on a raft adrift in international waters. The printer was run using a Harbor Freight 100 watt solar system... It's easily good enough for the purpose of liberating a better gun.

The barrel is solid enough it could probably go several rounds, but other parts could break. Plastic isn't bad. One of this collection of misfit gun enthusiasts had at least a thousand rounds through an AR lower cast in plastic using Lego's of all things.

I think this thread is adrift on a raft in international waters, though!

You CAN print an entire functional AR on a printer.

What those functions may be is open to debate.

If the goal is to either be know as "Lefty" or "Scarface " I suppose that could be a function.
