The Pelham Fish and Game Club, Inc is once again offering a combined Junior Rifle, Pistol & Clays Shooting Program.
Both members and ANY other local area youth age 12 -18 are encouraged to attend, membership is not required. This course is open to BOTH male and female students. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol/rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest and one handed standing positions; clays target shooting; cleaning the pistol/rifle; and continued opportunities for skill development.
The course consists instructor supervised firing on the ranges with .22lr Pistols, .22lr Rifle and Shotguns. Parents are encouraged to stay and participate. Safety, responsibility and marksmanship will be emphasized. After firearms safety instruction, there will be instructor supervised live firing in the indoor pistol range, rifle range and clays field. Pistol shooting phase utilizes the indoor bulls-eye range with provided .22 rim fire target pistols.
Rifle shooting will utilize the silhouette range with steel targets. Students may use their own rifle or rifles provided by the club (all rifles must be .22 rim fire caliber only, unless otherwise stated).
Clays training consists of using shotguns, shooting at aerial clay targets.
Additional shooting events mixed in include introductions to IDPA, USPSA, Rimfire Challenge and other supervised events.

Wednesdays from 6 - 8 pm, May 4th through August 31st, 2016
Cost: $50.00 for 17 weeks. Program includes use of firearms, safety equipment and ammunition.
