Illinois bill would allow for gun ownership to be disqualified based on alarming social posts

If passed, this bill would allow police to disqualify an individual from purchasing a gun and even revoke a currently valid Firearm Owner’s Identification Card if any information on the social media accounts was found alarming.

My wife and I do not use Facebook, Twitter or any of those other social media websites where they encourage people to post photos and personal information. We explained the danger of these sites to our little girls. Besides the risk of losing 2A rights, one careless post could also result in rejection from colleges and good jobs. Nothing to gain and far too much to lose.
