Hi, I am a 15 year old boy. I have my FID and a hunting license. This season I am going rabbit hunting with a friend in his 20s, who has a Class A LTC and hunting license. My dad has his Class A LTC, but no hunting license. My question is, can he simply come along with us? Not to shoot anything, or carry any guns, but just to watch us and hang out with us really. We would be hunting on a WMA in Northfield, MA if that changes anything.

I strongly urge you to have Dad NOT carry any game killed. The firearms might be a gray area and it will depend on the EPO if he writes him for "hunting without a license" - let's say you're crossing a fence and you hand Dad the empty gun for safe handling purposes - that's one thing. Having Dad carry the shotgun out (read: walking with it), that's another...

Observers observe, hunters hunt - leave it at that. Bring Dad
