Rifle Safety and Marksmanship Event.
Hudson Fish and Game Club is sponsoring a Junior rifle clinic on Wednesday September 6 and Thursday September 7th, from 6:30 to 8:30pm, for youth ages 6 and up. This clinic will be supervised by NRA certified coaches and instructors. Smallbore rifles (.22lr) and ammo will be provided. Only $10 per child. Children are expected to attend both nights.

The Hudson Fish and Game Club Junior Rifle Team is precision smallbore (22LR) and precision air rifle competition team in the same style as in the Olympics. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u68lbkhUC-w). We hold practices every Wednesday and Thursday from 6pm to 9pm during the indoor season, and every Saturday from 9-noon during the outdoor season. Athletes are only required to attend practice on day per week though it is encouraged to practice as often as possible. The competition season heats up in late December and runs through early July. We compete at home matches in Hudson and travel to away matches as far away as Palmyra PA, Port Clinton OH and Ft Benning GA. Not all team members compete in the away matches nor is it required for reasons of cost and ability. We do fund-raising to help offset some of the cost of travel. Parents are also required to assist with the program. We have many ways that parents can help the team from simple stuff like cleaning the range to becoming certified coaches.
The team has several openings this season.
