I'm hoping someone starts making them again, maybe in 9mm or 40. I know I'm a heretic but I really like the look and feel of the m1 but at this point they are more expensive than an m1 garand from CMP and 30 carbine isn't the cheapest ammo

1- MOCO

I can't help it if you've never heard of it! It's really a MOCO.

I started collecting M1 Carbines after being given one by my Father-in-law a number of years ago. He actually bought it through the NRA for $39 in the 1960's.

I have one of every maker (with a few extras/doubles). I actually just (2 weeks ago) sold an Underwood and a Saginaw Gear to another local guy who is trying to build his collection. I am down to 12 in total, 2 all correct and the rest all over 90% correct.

As an addition side bar to the thread... what is current 30 carbine (FMJ) selling for these days? Best prices I can find are on 500 round bulk with shipping for around $22.40 a box.

that's pretty good, I see it locally for about 23 or 24. Its so easy to reload though, 1cc of lil' gun works great.
