I don't post much, but a friend of mine needs some help. Bryan is a great guy, and by all accounts his brother was, too. I know times are tough, but if anyone can spare $5 or $10 bucks it would be greatly appreciated. Please post NES next to your name, so he knows what a great group this is. Hopefully, we can help him with a very good cause.

Hello everyone. Although I might joke around a lot, this is
definitely something that means a lot to me. This spring will be 8
years since my brother passed away. For those on this list that did
not have a chance to know him, Joe was a Police Officer in Plumstead
Township, PA that suffered a line of duty death in 2002. He took more
pride in his work than anyone I've ever known, and he's remembered for
a lot of things he did both on and off duty. Although I don't try to
pretend that I knew everyone's individual relationship with him, I can
certainly speak of my own and tell you he was one of the best friends
and brothers any person can have.

To help remember him and raise money for a great cause, I'm planning
on doing the Police Unity Tour this year. For anyone not familiar
with it, it's a bike race/tour spanning 300 miles over 3 days from New
Jersey to Washington, DC for Police Memorial Week in May 2010. The
ride is done every year to honor law enforcement officers that have
died in the line of duty and money raised goes toward the National Law
Enforcement Officer's Memorial Fund (NLEOMF). The NLEOMF is a fund to
generate increased public support for the law enforcement profession
by permanently recording and appropriately commemorating the service
and sacrifice of law enforcement officers; and to provide information
that will help promote law enforcement safety. Additionally, the
NLEOMF has established and maintains the National Law Enforcement
Officer's Memorial in Washington, DC which is dedicated to honoring
and remembering the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers
in the United States.

However, in order to participate in this event each rider must raise a
minimum of $1,700. Unfortunately, for those of you that don't know,
I've been in Afghanistan since July 2009, and will be here until March
2010. With that being said, raising money is going to be a little
more challenging for me than most others doing this event. Therefore,
I'm sending out this email to everyone to ask for a small donation.
To make it easier, The Police Unity Tour has established personal web
pages to accept donations on behalf of any of its riders. The webpage
for making donations under my name is located at:

http://www.firstgiving.com/bryanhanusey <http://www.firstgiving.com/bryanhanusey>

Please visit it if you can. If you can donate $1, it would be much
appreciated. If you can donate more, I would be forever grateful.
Please feel free to forward this email onto anyone I might have
accidentally omitted, anyone that might be interested in making a
donation, and especially anyone that knew Joe. Thanks to everyone for
your support in this.

Bryan
