All NH sportsmen and women need to take note of House Bill 559. The bill looks to do away with the requirement for members of the Fish and Game Commission to have held a sporting license for at least 5 of the previous 10 years before the appointment. The bill is sponsored by Rep Skinder whom I beleive is from Cornish. She is the same rep who sponsored the anti-trapping bill last year. I beleive she is a card carrying member of PETA ( the group that submitted legisation in the US house to rename fish sea kittens). If you love to hunt or fish then you need to contact your rep and tell them that they need to oppose this bill. There is a public hearing on Feb 17th in Concord if anyone can attend. Also, check out this link for more information:

Take a few moments to read through the post on the link provided and if you're in agreement with so many NH sportsmen then please write your reps and tell them you oppose this bill.

same tactic used in Mass to get non-sports people in charge and then change the rules that offended their sensibilities regardless of what professionals in the field said and it worked.

Ohhh I know it hasn't passed, and maybe won't, but NH is sadly and slowly being infected. Trust me, I am one town away from NH and would move there if I could be reassured, to some degree, that NH will not fall into the bowels of Massachusetts values.

NH elected Shaheen, booted a perfectly good man in Sununu, elected Governor Lynch (D) who is actually from Lynnfield, MA. My sister-in-law moved there from MA and voted for Obama because she wanted "free health care".

I hope NH does the right thing on HB 559
