"Gun Owners Should Have Liability Insurance"

So this has been talked about A LOT recently. Anti's say we should all be required to carry liability insurance because we own guns. I'd like to ask NES for some responses to this. Recently there have been several comments from anti's on national news sites, I'd like to formulate a response from the NES think tank. Thoughts?

I saw an anti post that made the comparison of auto to gun insurance and said that the gun owner would be liable if the gun was stolen. One thing I brought up before is, with auto insurance we are not liable for damage caused by our cars if they are stolen. I mentioned that fact but got no response.

A big post a long time ago said that insurance will be created to start the final ban on all guns because people will have to pay to even own them. It'll never get any support from anyone on here.

Meh, fewer accidents with guns vs any other home tool. I've cut/drilled/burned/sawed myself a bunch of times, never shot myself.
