There's fishers here in Wayland. One of them made a good dent in the chipmunk and squirrel population around our house. Only problem is that he moved on and the chipmunks are coming back.

Oh, and btw, they aren't friggin' nocturnal. At least, the one in our backyard wasn't. We saw him during the day.
