Ferlach Germany

Fred,
Ferlach is a small town in the state of Kaernten/Austria.
The famous school "HTLB" is located there, and gunsmithing is one
of their branches. The gunsmith courses take 5 years.
Many German gunsmiths have learned their trade in this school,
which is pretty much the first address in all of Europe.
Here is a link to Jakob Koschat, one of the gunsmiths of the Ferlach cooperative http://www.ferlacherjagdwaffen.at/jagdwaffen.htm
Other names are Hambrusch, Borovnik, Fanzoj.
Here's a link to a list of Austrian gunsmiths, with some of them
located in Ferlach.

JuergenG,
Thanks for the reply.
I just got a Ludwig Borounik Drilling. It is a 12ga over 30.06. This gun is co-op gun # 696 made in 1958. I think he is still alive. I wantt to find out as much about the gun as I can. The S.N. is 40.1042 . It is a great shooter.
Thanks agin for the leads.
Fred

Sounds like a nice find, maybe I'll see you down the range with it sometime. BTW are you going to the pig roast?
