Eotech at an appleseed

Yes. You can even use a magnifer or a 'scope if you [STRIKE]want[/STRIKE] need.

All we ask is if using a (variable) scope is turn it down to a lower power.
(Scope "shake" will give you more issues)

Optics don't help you shoot better, but they do help you see better.

Is an eotech alright to use to get rifleman?
Sure, why not?

Don't worry about getting things sighted in before the event.
That will be one of the first things we take care of.

Yup. Get your group size small enough FIRST... THEN we'll sight in your rifle. If you can't group, you can't sight it in.

Yup, if you can get it zeroed at 82 feet (25 meters) to the point that you're hitting an 8 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch sheet of paper, you'll be fine.

You'll probably notice your zero will shift, after receiving some of the training, and learning the proper methods to use. Almost everybody's does.

Irony of ironies, I flipped on my EOtech 512 when my flip-up back-up iron sight lost a spring and got all wonky. After I took the next AQT to sight the EOTech in, I shot a 217 with it, so yes, it can be done. This was at Simsbury, CT last summer when crak pulled me from the center of the line and put me all the way to the left 'cuz my muzzle brake was kicking up dust across the face of 4-5 shooters on both sides of me! Good times...

I opted out of the Eotech
