Couldn't pass this one at the show, even for $425. It's just too nice.

Now, I wish that I could tell you it is a Cavalry Carbine, Engineers, cut down infantry, 09/26, 09/47, etc. There seem to be as many descriptions of these carbines as there are presentations of these guns.

So, I'll just call it a 1909 Carbine, post up some pics, and call it gorgeous. Enjoy, and thanks for looking.

Wow! I think that's the nicest one I've seen and with a nice leather sling no less. Great price on that beauty.

A nice M1909 Cavalry Carbine, made in 1911. 24,000 of these were made at DWM.
Only 10,000 Engineers carbines were made and they are all in the A-block.
An 09/47 would carry the FMAP brand and 19,600 of these were newly made from 1947
through 1959, along with bayos.
The Mountain carbine looks pretty much like the later Standard Modell, same in length.
6,000 of those were made in 1910 and another 4,000 in 1912.
