Buy the gun, provide the dealer with the letter from you Dept allowing possesion/Purchase of the weapon. Upon the weapons arrival into Ma Fill out an Fa10 and be done with it.As long as you have a letter from your depts Chief Leo or his designee you should be all set. Numerous Officers on My agency have done this. If I was you I would also make sure you Qualify with the weapon and have a letter that states you are approved to use the weapon on-duty and to train with it Off duty.
