Dinesh D'Souza says recent riots and political unrest could lead to 'rise of citizen militias around the country'

we HAVE to import labor. Like, we HAVE NO CHOICE. And there will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth by both sides of "why didn't the other side do something back in 2020." Here we are. Go do something. Change the system and bring in "good" people. Yes, America WILL change. But not nearly as much as it will when we are FORCED to bring in labor down the road. THAT will spell the end of the USA.
No we don't have to import labor. That is a conservatard lie to screw over their supposed constituents and make more money for globohomocorp.

If I were to move to Japan, learn the language, get citizenship paperwork, then write 15 books telling the Japanese how to live and run their country would I be Japanese? And if you say yes I would be Japanese in those circumstances, should the rest of the country hold me and my opinions in high esteem?
If I can be Japanese then anyone can be an American. If not it is just paperwork.

To try and untangle a bit, based on my own experiences and training as i worked for a Japanese company for several years...
Japanese see 'being Japanese' as being part of a race. You're born in to it, They are very proud and conservative in this view or Japanese identity. One can sort of 'convert', which is different that becoming a citizen of Japan and no-one i know of Japanese birth really would talk about 'converting' in this way, and it still wouldn't make someone truly Japanese in their eyes.

America is an Ideal (at least used to be, that is perhaps questionable at this moment), based on and espoused by the beliefs of Liberty articulated in the Declaration of Independence, US Constitution and BOR, and the underlying tenants of Natural Law. We are a sovereign Country but Not a Race (in traditional definition). Our identity is (used to be) based solely on these beliefs and the XIV amendment enshrines this when it says "Those born or naturalized...." Divided loyalties is a real issue and other parts of the Constitution (inclusive of amendments) acknowledge the concerns but only in placing limits on Representatives, Senators President & VP...

I get the metaphor 'Climbsinsink' was building, but there are real differences between US and Japan so it doesn't really work.
Dinesh D'Souza is an American once he declared his belief and support of Liberty and became a naturalized citizen. That doesn't mean everyone needs to fully trust in him, but i think he has consistently espoused these values in his works.

Lastly, there are plenty of others who take the steps of becoming a citizen in name only but clearly do not understand or espouse Liberty in the American definition and ideal...
Let's save our critique for them!

We really shouldn't have people like Dinesh moving to this country and writing books like these. Worse would be if someone actually read them and got the notion that Socialism and Democrat policies were a bad idea.

That is all propaganda so you willingly(and with feel good virtue signaling) go along with the destruction of your nation. The founding fathers did not believe anything of the sort. Yes you fell for it, many have, admit your mistakes and you are forgiven. Then get on with saving your nation.
Many of the posters here have the same ideal as the Antifa/BLM rioters tear down American history so America is whatever fills her borders in year zero, and it is always year zero. Those people know they will never be Americans which is why they want to destroy America. Even if it drastically lowers their quality of life.

The grifter makes me feel good, grifter must be good. Grifter says things I like. Let me guess his solution is support the establishment GOP. Oh wait he is a smart grifter and has pivoted to be a Trump supporter to build credibility, for later undermining Trump. It is obvious. Anyway if you disagree with me pay attention to the guy for awhile and watch for pivots or slipping in support for gopcuck positions.

Children per family is dropping like a veritable rock. Within 10 years it'll be less than 1 per couple. Already birth rate is 16% UNDER what is necessary to maintain population levels. Population plummets in the intervening 2-3 decades. All them no-child or one-child hipsters get old and need someone else to do their work.

Where werkerz cum frum????? Moonmen? Let's hope they aren't gay moonmen. Or are you anticipating a pile of "specific Euro country" descendants to suddenly have 18 kids per family and take the entire nation back over???

And as far as heritage, I'm a mix of several nations. Lots of Irish. Some English. A good smattering of Polish. What % of me is a non-paper American?? My wife's dad can trace his lineage to the Mayflower. Rest is F/C and English and Albanian. What % are my kids? Just so when they are tattooing it on our foreheads they can get the %'s right.

Here is the conundrum: while fertility and birthrate is dropping among 1st world nations, it is not among 3rd world nations. While birthrate is dropping among the middle and upper class in the US, it is not necessarily dropping among the lower class. Populations drive politics and economics. Our post-WWII capitalist economic model has depended on continuous growth to infinity. We've likely reached the upper bounds of that model and as more boomers retire, middle class shrinks and less is made at the lower end, our economy will contract.

I read recently that research is now showing that much of the major political revolutions, from the French to the Russian and Chinese, came on the heels of massive growth in populations and economies where the lower classes saw less and less and the upper classes had more and more. We have just seen that with the current global and US economy and are seeing massive social unrest.

So to the big question then: if our economic and political system depends upon a moral, educated and civic citizenry that has a stake in the economic development of the nation and more specifically the community (the American Dream), can our system of government and economics survive the red wave of marxism which is the inevitable result of decades of unencumbered capitalism and wealth accumulated by the top %? China used a 1 child system to control it's population. It created other issues, like imbalances between the sexes and a lack of potential life partners for many males, but served it's purpose. On the flip side, Bulgaria has made it policy to support middle and upper classes having more children by making it tax advantageous to do so, while penalizing those too poor to support large families. Again, more social engineering, but you get the point.

This is an existential crisis for the Republic, the Constitution, and Capitalism. It isn't just about winning this battle, but the war itself and it's inevitable outcome based on the historical fall of any number of nations and empires over the last 150 years and the last 2000 years.

Another big question mark is the role technology and automation has to play in our economy. How does a capitalist economy function when capital flows to the development of automated systems that drive productivity and profit at the expense of workers? Also, something else to ponder: the Japanese are not accepting of outsiders or any who are not Japanese. The Chinese are very similar culturally. Tribalism... while the West throws around ideas like diversity is strength, the East continues to focus on itself and it's "tribes". There is something to learn from that...

Your premise is wrong we don't need to import masses of people and we don't need forever 'growth.' You are thinking from the position of globohomobanks they need people to loan money to to buy trash to keep their numbers up. Keeping those numbers up doesn't help nonglobohomobankster-Americans of any stripe. If having a big population is so important why did the boomers abort 1/3 of genX? Wouldn't all those kids all grown up in America be nice.

TLDR but I do like Dinesh, sans he's just as much of a broken record player as Hannity. All he ever does is spout about how the Dems are the original party of slavery and the clan. He's a one trick pony.

History says your wrong. Every civilization/society that has had a declining population has suffered economically. Japan has had stagflation and no growth for 30+ years and is reaching a critical point of population imbalance as it's population ages and there aren't enough young workers producing and reproducing. The wild card is technology and automation... at least from an economic perspective, productivity may be able to be maintained through further investment in automation. The problem derives from the end-user... i.e. if we don't figure out how to keep employment and wages up, there will be no one to purchase what is produced and all the productivity/investment in automation will be for naught. So... we're right back to population growth and the balancing act with wages and employment.

Are you saying having a big population is not important? Do you understand economics?

Don’t bother with your reasoning. He doesn’t like immigrants if they are brown or black or basically anything that isn’t from a small subset of European countries. Guy made an ignorant statement and refuses to back to down even as the entire forum calls him out on it.

The USA is what it is because of The Constitution. The Constitution reflects the best of the character of the white, anglo people who wrote it. No other nation or nationality has produced anything like The Constitution. The black and brown folks you mention are benefitting from those white, anglo values of fairness and equal opportunity, so perhaps a little more nuance is in order.

The post-1965 population of the US are direct beneficiaries of the economic system created by those same white, anglo people. Remember, the only thing worse than living in a country created by white, anglo racists is not being allowed to immigrate to a country created by white, anglo racists.

Are you saying having a big population is not important? Do you understand economics?

Economics, eh? What do you get when you have an endless supply of cheap labor? Prevailing wages are suppressed indefinitely.

What do you get when the supply of labor is drastically curtailed, as in Europe after the Black Plague? The value of labor skyrockets, prevailing wages rise and the middle class is born.

Open borders immigration has devastated the working and middle classes while the 1% collect their ever increasing economic rents.

Not naturalized they are paper Americans. Heritage Americans are the only ones with valid opinions on America. And yes we should be selective in who we let in. Not moving goalposts strayed onto other things.
What is a heritage American? First gen, second gen, third gen, tracing your lineage all the way to the Mayflower?

Is someone that is 20 years old and born here that votes for more government control and handouts more American than someone that moved here 20 years ago, became a citizen and votes for small government, no debt, more freedom?

No, incentives and complacency have devastated the working class. Immigrants didn't take your jobs, it's just cheaper to have China produce everything cause labor costs are so low. It wasn't a politician or an immigrant that decided Apple would be infinitely more profitable if they manufactured things in China. That's literally just math. If you're suffering economically there are lots of options for Americans. All of them require you to have value though, so learn to code or be better than the next guy. Value is intrinsic, and doesn't care whether you're white, black, or brown. That's pretty damn American if you ask me. Stop looking for a handout solution.

He won’t say where he’s from even while saying where you are from is thee most important factor in whether your opinion matters. Which in a way is somewhat relieving as his opinion is so asinine on its merit, not having to give it consideration based on his own criteria makes it that much easier.🤣

A handout? I came to the US with $300 in my pocket and have paid seven figures in taxes since I arrived.

The difference between me and many recent immigrants is I know how the opportunity I have was created and who created it. Those black and brown folks mentioned so many times in this thread should be kissing white ass for pulling them out of slavery and cannibalism (sub-Saharan Africa) or the caste system (India).

I'll use small words this time.

Population of 330M.

Drop that in half, let's say. But we still need basic needs met. And no one is around to meet them. Especially for the ever-burgeoning older-people market.

Who do doze jobz?????

I'm not talking growth. I'm talking PURELY to take up the slack as the US population ages.

I get what you prefer. You'd prefer to have us as "purebred as possible" for as long as you are on this earth. I'm looking decades past my time here. In 40 years I'll be pushing up daisies. If we don't consider this problem now, our solution later will be similar to the eventual SSI solution. (We knew there was a baby boom problem back in the 60's. No serious work was done to correct it until the early 80's. Had we made changes 2 decades earlier, they'd have been less severe AND we'd not be looking at SSI "bankruptcy" by 2035.)

If we need more people why did they tell us having kids is bad for the environment? And who is worse for the environment heritage American types or third world types? Believe what you are programmed to or trust your powers of observation. The only reason we 'need' 300+ million people to take out loans to keep a handful of people making the kinds of money they want. A tiny tiny percentage of people 'need' unlimited population growth. When America had 30 million people who took care of all the old folks? All the current or soon to be old folks that didn't have kids or didn't raise their kids well are already inline to be cared for by low IQ 'new Americans' their future is sealed.

Small words? You're regurgitating conventional wisdom.....and conventional wisdom assumes labor output per person is fixed which is untrue on its face.

Flip the coin and assume GDP is fixed. Then half the population means double the income for everybody. This is the world we've lost by thinking what we're told to think.

Flip the coin and the labor shortage creates an incentive for more automation and a virtuous spiral of increasing automation and higher incomes. Think Germany where white gloved technicians work in spotless robotic factories making $50/hour.

So...ssi is a scam? Oh man. Quick! Import more immigrants! Who cares where they're from! Hurry, we're 2 decades behind

Oh I didn't answer your SJW kafka trap gotcha question. I was born in America on land once inhabited by native Americans. Promptly after birth at only a few minutes old I used my white privilege and micro aggressions to drive them onto reservations. I have since inmigrated across state lines. Is inmigration the gotcha? In my defense I moved closer to where my ancestors parked their boat. They just fixed up the replica, you've probably seen it.

Ah, SSI, the biggest Ponzi scheme in recorded history. Its collapse is inevitable - it will eventually overwhelm even the power of government to keep it going far longer than your average fraud. When that collapse happens I expect it will be bloody.

It covered the intense growth of boomer parents (who never paid a dime into it) and boomers. Without that level of (working, hard working) population increase its doomed. I wish I had that cash in my retirement acct, no thanks to everyone who will inevitably pile on with stats claiming ill collect more than I contribute. How do you know how I would invest in my own future?

Yes. No. Maybe.

Heavy on feelings, low on facts.

Pre-boomers DID pay in. They just didn't pay in a lot.

BECAUSE IT'S NOT A PAY-IN SYSTEM! It's a TAX. You tax CURRENT wage-earners to fulfill retirement benefits of CURRENT seniors.

There is nothing more than a promise to pay you later. There is no lockbox. There is no account with $ in it. There is no "investment return." It's a tax. You agree to pay the tax so that people over 65 aren't lying destitute in the gutter.

I don't say, "Well, I paid my property tax, but in 3 years I'll get to use the Senior center and I'm gonna spend the hell out of that because it's owed to me." No. They might close the senior center next year. One has zip to do with the other.

You don't get to invest in your own future because the % of Americans that WILL invest for their future is something less than 5%. Maybe only 1 or 2%. What do you do with the rest of them??? Kick them all to the curb?? Create some sort of Logan's Run system where you're eliminated at 65 if you don't have x-times your salary saved for retirement???

As bad as SSI is, for a government program that is 80-something years old, it's pretty damned successful. There aren't many 80-year-old programs that aren't completely changed or full of graft. And the REALLY funny thing is: Call SSI. They are the most helpful, well trained people you'll ever see. I think it's under some sort of reverse-curse or something. Ever call any other segment of government? Especially federal entitlement??? (Which SSI is - but that's another time I'll have you irritated). It never goes well.

Nothing I don't know, except maybe the call center part. And no it doesn't make me feel good that my tax money is someone else's retirement plan. I dont worry what happens to people I don't know personally who can't plan their lives besides thinking this program gives excuses for people to not plan. How can I thank you for answering questions not asked
