Detained for trying to bring a gun to the Empire State Building

You do have to wonder why anyone would attempt to carry a gun in New York.

It's not like their ridiculous laws are some big secret. It's sort of been in the news for the last, ohhhh, forever.

ESPECIALLY given the fact that this man was licensed, he ABSOLUTELY should have known it was illegal to carry there. There is NO WAY that someone who goes to all the trouble to get a CCW, isn't cognizant of the fact that their license will not be recognized in other states. I just cannot believe he is honestly pleading naivete.

He's either really ****ing stupid, or really ****ing arrogant.

NY does not recognize any out of state licenses, this guy should have done his homework before he went there.

how much bad information gets spread out there though, maybe he checked with his local uninformed gun shop owner down in NC
