I was wondering if anyone here had some solid knowledge as to how the system works here? I am not about to ask my local PD- I read what the MA folks go through and even though it's not MA, the good-old-boy system is working real well in this town so I'm not even going to go there.
When I applied, they said it "might" take eight weeks, or longer. It's been almost eight weeks to the day, and I heard nothing. I gave a call, and the person there wouldn't even refer me to the officer handling it- she said, did you get a call? (No) Do you have an answering machine? (Yes) Well then when it comes in, you'll get a call. The officer is real good about dealing with these things right away and getting it right out. How long it takes is all out of our hands, fingerprinting, maybe a lot of people applied, etc etc. She was very firm and very sincere in what she said, and told me to wait for the call.
One poster here (from CT) said he got his in 2 weeks and he said it just depends on how diligent the local PD is about taking care of it.
Does anyone have any solid knowledge on how the CT system works? Is it really out of their hands like my local PD says, or are they giving me the run-around? Thanks-
