Crossbows

Please forgive if this is not the right forum; but it seemed the best fit.

At the Marlborough show some guys where selling little crossbows. Always thought they looked like fun. I also thought they were illegal in this nanny state. But a dealer I spoke to said another dealer went to court over it, and so he was sure the ruling is you can own and target shoot with them, but you can not hunt with them. I can find the no-hunting bit in the MGL's, but not sure about the ownership part.
