Crimson Trace Grip on P229...Any problem with residue in mag well?

I just installed the CTG on my Sig 229. When you look into the mag well of the grip you can see the batteries and electronics of the CTG. The grip did not come with dust shields nor was a dust shield mentioned in the installation instructions.

Is anyone out there having any trouble with shot residue or oil getting on the grip electronics?
