Crimping

I have read a bunch of opinions of crimping rifle rounds. Some say that it is necessary for tube mags, others say standard magazine fed rifles with decent recoil should be crimped, some say that neck tension is all you should ever need, some say they only crimp match ammo, and others say crimp everything...

Well, what's the deal?

If the bullet has a cannelure, crimp, if not, don't.
