In May, Cape Ann Sportsmans club will start up their monthly CMP clinics to the public. Clinics are generally run on Sundays, 8am to late afternnon. Participants are instructed in firearm safety, range procedures and rifle target marksmanship skills and complete a range firing activity. The club offers many club owned service grade Garands along with M1 Carbines and AR-15's. Spotters are available to help. I assume you may bring your own garands with iron sights,
It really is a good time and you'll get one on one help from the range officers present. They have been running this clinic for quite sometime and everyone has a good time.
Fee is $25 for non members and $15 for members. Ammo is provided. A certificate will be issued which is one of the requirements if you decide to purchase your own Garand from the CMP. Scores will be tallied and you'll get another certificate for high shooter and will be posted on the CMP website.
edit: Fee went up slightly this year due to cost of ammo. Will respond back with actual fee prices
