This is why I’m constantly telling the wife and kids I don’t give a f*ck if it’s a guy with a badge, trump, Jesus, or God himself it doesn’t matter. Dad opens the door unless we know them. And if I’m not home and if there’s not a marked cruiser, fire engines out front you tell them to pound sand.

When I am away on business, my wife grabs her CCP or VP, chambered, before she answers the doorbell. 75% of the time it is FedEx dropping off her Humira. 10% is Terminex. Rural area. Very few bell ringers.

I have on camera a dude checking our back door (sliding glass) at 4pm on a cloudy day in direct line of sight of the road, some aparrments and the next door neighbor.

He didn't know about our new dog whose bed had just gotten moved up next to the door. Dude pissed himself when our dog ran at the glass door.

Dog got a bit of extra bacon the next morning.

He's smart enough to not bark at the landscaping people, who he has all met.
