I went to an auction and picked this stock up for $12. I thought it was for a Ruger 10/22, but when I tried it, it didn't fit. I looked at it some more and it looked like a M1 Carbine would fit. I tried one and it fit good, now I just have to get to the range and try it out. It's called a Commando Mark II.

Definitely different. Is it made by volunteer? They had the Commando .45 that looked like a Thompson, but had a poly stock like that IIRC. Looks like it would be fun to play with, great grab for the price too, enjoy it.

I remember seeing those ages ago in Shotgun News (or at least something very similar).

If I had one... I'd be tempted to hack-off the plastic pistol grips and figure out some way to affix a pair of wooden ones and add a 10/22 drum mag (pre-ban of course).

They are not plasitc grips, It is all one piece metal.
