Cheap Spotting Scope?

Radio Shack is clearing out a "compact refracting telescope" on a Manager's Special. The price is $24.95, although they took another $2.50 off when I bought it. It comes with short Tripod, carrying case, two eyepieces, and a 2X magnifier piece. Depending on how you assemble it, it has magnification from 20-78 power.

It looks like it will make a decent low cost spotting scope.

Just in case anyone else is interested.

I've been toying with idea of using a telescope as a spotting scope for a while. For $25 I think I might just have to try it out.
